Peter AlexanderROSSMuch loved husband of Gunvor and long-time resident of Prestbury. Father to Stephen and Richard. Brother to John and grandfather to Stewart, Amy, Douglas, Magnus and Oscar. Wonderful father-in-law to Sarah and Anne. Peter died after a short time at Macclesfield Hospital, having suffered a first stroke in August. He was a friend to many and led life to the full. He built a number of successful food businesses and throughout his life was a devoted family man. Always active and passionate about the outdoors, he loved running, gardening, hill walking and more recently cycling and swimming. He made a daily appearance for his swim at Macclesfield Leisure Centre and spent many happy hours on the fairways of Prestbury Golf Club where he was a member for over 40 years. Loved and admired by many and loyally visited right up to the end by family, colleagues, neighbours and friends. His enthusiasm for life will be missed by all who knew him. Funeral service to be held at St Peter's Church, Prestbury on 20th December 2022 at 12.30 followed by a private committal at Macclesfield Crematorium.
